ASME “U” & “R” STAMP SERVICES

IAM maintains both “R” & “U” stamp certifications.

In the US, boiler services and pressure vessels must be performed by an organization whose processes are certified by a governing body. These governing bodies are the National Board of Boiler & Pressure Vessel Inspectors (NBBI) and The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). These two (2) bodies have established the standards and processes for the construction, repairs and alteration of pressure vessels.

The “U” stamp is for the “Fabrication of New Pressure Vessels”.

The “R” stamp is for the “Repairs & Alterations of Pressure Vessels”.

These stamps signify IAM’s processes for the fabrication and repairs of ASME pressure vessels.

In order for one to receive these stamps many milestones must be performed, tested and inspected by the National Board (NBBI) and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
